Horizontal Blinds

Horizontal blinds are available in a variety of materials including aluminum, vinyl, wood or other materials. Presented in a variety of slat sizes, colors and textures horizontal blinds offer excellent light and privacy control. Blinds can be raised for access or view and slats can be rotated to allow the maximum or minimum amount of light to enter the room.

Vertical Blinds Have vertical vanes or louvers that are usually made of vinyl, fabric, or both (inserted vanes). Verticals are easy to use, low maintenance and offer the advantage of very effective light control. Particularly well-suited for large windows vertical louvers can be rotated to control glare or close for complete privacy or can be drawn open for an unobstructed view. Shades Shades offer a stylish alternative to horizontal or vertical blinds and feature a wide assortment of fabrics, including solids, prints and textures. Fabrics range in opacity from sheer to room darkening and can be manufactured in a variety of special shapes. Shades usually roll, pleat, gather or fold both up and down for light and view or privacy. Shutters Shutters bring you the warmth of classic southern-style shutters in both 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" louvers in three colors. The panels with louvers are hinged to a frame that is mounted directly to the window frame or wall. While the louvers are often opened for view, air and light, or closed for privacy, the panels usually remain closed. Motorization Wireless motorization is possible for many of Skandia's window coverings in battery operated options, or hard-wireapplications. There are many benefits in motorizing window coverings. Light control, privacy and safety, to name a few. Arches and Cornices Arches are available for shades, wood and faux wood binds, and shutters. Arches can be made as perfect arch non-perfect arch (wood and faux wood blinds), and quarter arch. Perfect arch windows are those where the total width equals twice the total length of the center of the arch. For example: 36" wide by 18" in height. A decorative cornice can be the ultimate window covering topper. The Windance Riverwalk cornice can be inserted with matching product material. The Windance Riverwalk is available for all products, and comes standard with Melhanna's Mandalay Woven Wood Drapery and panel track applications.
